TOPLITE® lamp colour can be red, yellow, green, orange,
blue or white. Lamp brightness starts from 300 millicandelas and
reaches to several candelas, which gives an excellent visibility
also in a daylight.
The control method for the lamps is "active
matrix", which means that every lamp (or a pixel made of several
lamps) has its own control transistor. This method makes the display
flicker free. It is possible to switch on/off every pixel separately
from the others, which allows full animated graphics and various
text effects.
Control of the display is done through a PC. The
display board is connected to PCs serial port with a thin
cable. One-row boards can be equipped with their own memory, which
frees the computer for other usage after data has been downloaded
to the display. Bigger boards are controlled constantly by the computer.
With the help of a connection block a precise temperature
sensor and a DCF antenna can be attached to the system to get an
exact time by radio signal from an atom clock situated in Germany.
New!
Now all TOPLITE® matrix displays have a brightness
adjustment as a standard. For older M-models not containing this
adjustment feature, it is available as an update. Brightness adjustment
allows automatic darkening of the display in dim lighting conditions
and nifty effects where text / graphics is appearing on the screen
by brightening and disappears by darkening.
